This week we dedicated our entire show to this mind-blowing re-examination of the conflict between two towering figures in the history of India, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar (an advocate for the oppressed Dalit and “Untouchable” classes in India, a man forgotten or simply unknown to most of the world), and Mohandas Gandhi (the “Father of Modern India,” saint of nonviolence movements worldwide and considered by many to be the greatest man of the 20th Century).  Roy’s stories and perspectives on Indian Untouchability also suggest some fascinating parallels to American racism and white supremacy and how discrimination and segregationism can take similar forms worldwide.

Absolutely shattering and not to be missed.
